Ring.io offers user(s) the ability to configure a custom Caller ID number or the option to use RingLocal which will display the local area code of the callee (receiving party) to increase the number of prospects that answer the phone. When turning on, RingLocal, callees (receiving party) are 40% more likely to answer the call when they see a phone number with a local area code.
TIP: When using the custom Caller ID feature, the Web Phone does allow both local and International Phone numbers.
This guide will walk a user through configuring the Outbound Caller ID from the Ring.io Web Phone.
1.) Open the Ring.io Web Phone
2.) To use a RingLocal number, simply click the drop down, select 'RingLocal'.
3.) Place your outbound call using a RingLocal number. For example, if you're calling a list of numbers in the 212 area code, our system will automatically use a phone number in the 212 area code when placing an outbound call.
