Works well!   The only issue I'm having is when I Google a phone number to see who is calling me, the plugin puts code around the number and Google searches the entire string.

Please release a softphone. This calling physical phone or other application business sucks.

Jay, if you'd like to use a softphone, we can hook you up with a softphone, so you can use the Chrome extension and then your softphone will ring (in under a second), pick it up and you're good to go.

That would be awesome! Just what we are looking for as most of us (in our company) are based outside the US. Can you please email me the info along with instructions to get it working? email@sharkim.com

    Thanks

Really into this. The only problem I have is that it makes it hard to copy phone numbers (I am frequently pasting them into a CRM).

Adam, could I trouble you to make a little video screen capture of how it's getting in the way for you? You can use a program like Jing to do it. If you don't feel comfortable posting it here, you can send it to me sam@ringio.com :-)

This is a great feature and I was really looking forward to using it. however it does not work for me.  I tried to call numerious times and my phone only rang once for half a second... :(

The idea of the Chrome extension is awesome. One way that I would suggest improving it is is to make sure that it is connecting the outbound number up with the Ringio contact. To explain, when I make an outbound call using the Ringio extension in Chrome, it sometimes does not connect the number up with my Ringio contact. When I go through my call history in Ringio, instead of displaying that I made an outbound call to John Doe, it shows that I made an outbound call to 867-5309, which is John Doe's number.

Keeping calls tagged to the appropriate contact is extremely important to me, as I have frequent need to track down previously made or received calls.

I believe that the problem may be that the extension, when making the outbound call, is not picking up a parentheses in the number. Instead of picking up that the outbound call was to (812) 867-5309, the extension is picking it up as making a call to 812) 867-5309. In other words, the extension is not always picking up the open parentheses, and as a result, it is not able to correctly recognizes that the number belongs to the contact John Doe.

Again, it does not always do this, but it does happen rather frequently.

I note that the chrome app store shows a june 2014 date for the extension, but no post here that tells what the update was or what it was for...
