Ring.io offers full control over your caller's experience. Ring.io Administrators can customize the initial greeting when:
1.) Someone calls a company number (not a personal number).
2.) When a caller reaches a department.
3.) The hold music/greeting that is played back when you put someone on hold.
We have guidelines on formatting your .wav file so it plays back properly. You can upload an audio file of one minute in length.
When someone calls a company number
Step 1. Click on the Greeting & Routing tab and then click on the company number you want to change
Step 2. Select Play my own hold music and click on the "Choose file" button to download a .wav file with the appropriate format.
When a caller reaches a department
Step 1. Click on the Departments tab and then click on the department you want to change
Step 2. You can play different messages when a caller enters the department queue, and in case no one in the department is available to take calls. At the bottom of the department select Custom and download a wav file with the appropriate format.
When you put someone on hold
Step 1. Click on the Premium Features tab and then scroll down to "Hold music when activated by agent".
Step 2. Check the "Enable" box and click on the "Choose file" button to download a .wav file with the appropriate format.
